Hot Harley Nights - July 7th-10th

The mission of Make-A-Wish® South Dakota is to grant wishes for children facing life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Twenty-one years ago, J&L Harley-Davidson wanted to create an event that would embody this mission while showcasing the city of Sioux Falls and providing motorcycle enthusiasts a reason to ride. “Hot Harley Nights” was created and has been growing ever since. Over the past 20 years the regional event has raised over 2.5 million dollars for Make-A-Wish® South Dakota.

This year, the 21st Annual Hot Harley Nights will be held July 7-10, 2016. The event includes silent and live auctions, raffles, a casino run, great live music, delicious food vendors, and much more. Thursday night will consist of Family Night at J&L, where kids of ALL ages will have the chance to see exciting attractions including characters, construction equipment, military and emergency vehicles, a NASCAR simulator, and more, while enjoying food from local vendors. Friday will entail food and live music at J&L, as well as a ten-class bike show that draws many stunning motorcycles. Saturday is the culmination of the action-packed weekend. Take part in the fun casino run to win great prizes. You can also watch or participate in the inspiring motorcycle parade that stretches over 6.5 miles throughout Sioux Falls. Over 4,000 motorcycles will participate in the parade, which is led by Make-A-Wish® children who are escorted in Corvettes. The riders converge on Falls Park West and the north end of downtown Sioux Falls, where over ten city blocks are reserved for bike parking. Live music by ZZ3 – the region's baddest ZZ Top Tribute band – will headline a free concert. There will be multiple food vendors, ice cold beverages, and other vendors available. Best of all, there will be a great crowd of people to support Make-A-Wish® South Dakota. Fill your tummies at the pancake feed at J&L on Sunday morning – all are welcome!

Every year about 1,200 rides register for the casino run. In 2014, there were participants from 13 different states and three foreign countries. However, Hot Harley Nights is an inclusive event for riders and non-riders alike. Char Roth, J&L Chief Financial Officer and Hot Harley Nights Co-Founder, explains, “There is so much going on all weekend whether you have a motorcycle or not. Everyone is welcome to come to Hot Harley Nights to support Make-A-Wish® South Dakota. We are grateful to have such a supportive community and love hosting this event.” J&L vows to continue hosting this event to make wishes come true.
